《材料科學前沿》是一本同行評議的國際期刊，發表高質量的評論/小評論、完整的研究論文和簡短的交流，記錄材料科學各方面的最新開創性研究。從國際和跨學科的角度來看，這些學科涵蓋的領域包括（但不限于）：包括仿生學和生物礦化的生物材料；納米材料；聚合物和復合材料；新金屬材料；高級陶瓷；材料建模和計算；前沿材料合成和表征。新材料制造方法；材料性能；材料在能源、信息和生物技術中的應用。這本雜志由高等教育出版社和斯普林格聯合出版。只接受英文手稿。不收取頁面費用，甚至與彩色圖片復制相關的額外費用也不會由作者承擔。

Frontiers of Materials Science is a peer-reviewed international journal that publishes high quality reviews/mini-reviews, full-length research papers, and short Communications recording the latest pioneering studies on all aspects of materials science.The subjects are seen from international and interdisciplinary perspectives covering areas including (but not limited to): biomaterials including biomimetics and biomineralization; nano materials; polymers and composites; new metallic materials; advanced ceramics; materials modeling and computation; frontier materials synthesis and characterization; novel methods for materials manufacturing; materials performance; materials applications in energy, information and biotechnology.This journal is jointly published by Higher Education Press and Springer. Only manuscripts in English are accepted. No page charge is levied, and even the extra costs associated with color figure reproduction are not expected to be met by the author.
