《等離子體物理學雜志》立志成為那些認為等離子體物理學是一門基礎學科的人的學術家園。該雜志將特別側重于發表實驗室等離子體(包括磁約束等離子體和慣性聚變等離子體)、空間物理學和等離子體天體物理學的研究，利用儀器和計算領域的快速進展，促進對多尺度等離子體物理學的基本理解。該期刊歡迎提交分析性、數值性、觀察性和實驗性工作:既有原始研究，也有教程或評論式的論文，以及系列講座講稿的建議。

JOURNAL OF PLASMA PHYSICS aspires to be the intellectual home of those who think of plasma physics as a fundamental discipline. The journal will particularly focus on publishing research on laboratory plasmas (including magnetically confined and inertial fusion plasmas), space physics and plasma astrophysics that takes advantage of the rapid ongoing progress in instrumentation and computing to advance fundamental understanding of multiscale plasma physics. The Journal welcomes submissions of analytical, numerical, observational and experimental work: both original research and tutorial- or review-style papers, as well as proposals for its Lecture Notes series.
